What is a Tincture?
A tincture is one of the many ways of administering CBD, and in recent years has become one of the most popular methods for doing so, especially for those trying CBD for the first time. Tinctures are produced by steeping the hemp or its isolates in a high proof, grain alcohol. From there, a low heat is applied to the runoff over several hours, allowing for the active compounds in the hemp too infuse into the solution before the majority of the alcohol is boiled off. The result is a liquid that delivers the effects of CBD without the need for smoking or the consummation of edible products. It is commonplace for manufacturers of tinctures to then add other ingredients to improve the overall taste of the oil.
Because tinctures are most often concentrated CBD, it is recommended and designed to be consumed in small doses. Such for this reason, many tinctures will come with a built-in dropper, so that a proper amount may be applied. There are many methods of administering a tincture, such as mixing it into either foods or drinks. However, research has shown that the most effective way of administering tinctures is by placing it beneath the tongue. This allows for the cannabinoids to be more consistently available to the body than through the consumption of food.
FEEL THE DIFFERENCE!
Our CBD Tinctures provide a full spectrum profile of all cannabinoids and terpenes naturally found within the highest grade, naturally high CBD, medicinal cannabis strains. Our full spectrum CBD oil tinctures contain a wide range of synergistic cannabinoids such as cannabigerol [CBG], cannabinol [CBN], cannabichromene [CBC], and less than .03% Tetrahydrocannabinol [THC]. For those people wanting absolutely zero THC, we have the most potent and powerful THC free CBD formulations in the world. Our “broad spectrum” hemp oils and “full spectrum” hemp oils provide a large amount of naturally present, non-psychotropic, cannabinoids and diverse synergistic terpenoids. This includes containing less than .3% THC. Our ZERO THC hemp oils contain high amounts of CBD, but are NOT full spectrum or PCR as they do not contain secondary cannabinoids. Secondary cannabinoids not found in our zero THC oils include cannabigerol [CBG], cannabinol [CBN], cannabichromene [CBC], or Tetrahydrocannabinol [THC].

Full spectrum tinctures differ from the pharma grade isolate as they contain many of the vitamins and minerals commonly found in hemp and CBD. What this means for the tincture, however, is that a less potent product is produced. Because of the many compounds in the solution, the concentration of cannabidiol is minimized, so less effects are felt from the CBD. Furthermore, full spectrum tinctures do not go through the process of removing THC from the solution, so mild psychoactive effects can be noticed.
Broad spectrum tincture is a form of middle ground between full spectrum and pharma grade. While containing many of the vitamins and minerals found in the natural CBD, broad spectrum does not contain THC. This means that, while you will be getting similar benefits to full spectrum, you would not have to worry about any psychoactive effects. However, like full spectrum, the concentration of the cannabidiol and thus, its effects, are lessened.
Pharma grade tincture (or tincture isolate) utilizes cannabinoids is their purest form. This concentrated compound is created by filtering off any other forms of impurities or waxes that are naturally found in the hemp plant. Like other tinctures, this form is commonly flavored in order to improve its taste. This from of tincture is the most potent, meaning that the effects of the CBD will be noticed quickly.
A custom CBD tincture allows you to further modify the amount of cannabidiol in the solution. This allows a further level of customization between the pharma grade and broad spectrum, as it allows you to customize to your individual needs and wants. This also means that you can control exactly how much of the CBD’s effects you’d like to take advantage of, whether it be closer to the strength of the pharma grade, or less so. You decide.
*Each individual tincture has its own properties that set it apart from the rest. Because they are so individual, we can create any custom formulation for your business needs.
